We need your help! This Saturday, May 26th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the Beautify Lunada Bay committee starts the installation of plantings on the half-acre site at the corner of Via Anacapa and Paseo Lunado across from Lunada Bay Elementary. The site is graded, pathways set and groomed, seating boulders and accent rocks in place, and over 1,000 feet of stone borders have been set by volunteers. The decomposed granite pathways are being installed and compacted now.
660 plants need to be installed starting this Saturday. BLB will provide the shovels, the gloves, the water, the snacks, and the training, but we need volunteers to assist with planting. Please consider joining us to help restore this section of the project with native plant species while providing an outdoor “classroom” for Lunada Bay.
If you are able to assist, please RSVP using the form below. Looking forward to seeing you and sharing in the sense of satisfaction.
