Would you like to learn more about your local City government?
If so, you should apply to be a part of the PVE Citizens Academy. This free program, open to Palos Verdes Estates residents, will familiarize and inform participants on municipal operations/services, budgeting, police and fire services, environmental programs, community recreation as well as the City’s history and vision for the future. The program will help prepare local citizens who may serve as resources, ambassadors, volunteers, and future elected and appointed leaders of the City. The PVE Citizens Academy will be a 10-session program that will take place from April 2017 thru the end of July 2017. Class sessions are scheduled from 5:30 – 8:30 PM, usually on Wednesdays. There are two Saturday sessions currently planned. It is important that you attend all of the sessions; only two absences are permitted. Participation will be limited to a maximum of 27 people (25 adults and 2 high school students).
