Neighborhood Watch Needs Volunteer Block Captains

Neighborhood Watch is a national organization dedicated to establishing neighborhood networks to foster community safety and cooperation between residents and our PVE Police Force.

Our annual Neighborhood Watch National Night Out is traditionally on the first Tuesday of August, when these networks get together with a Block Party for a night of celebration and collaboration.

PVE Neighborhood Watch is a community participation program committed to educating our residents on crime prevention and disaster preparedness.  It works by organizing neighborhood blocks into networks lead by Block Captains or Co-captains.  Setting up a Neighborhood Watch network for your block is a great way to help prevent crime, prepare for emergencies, and, most importantly, nurture a sense of community among your neighbors.

Lunada Bay Neighborhood Watch program is divided into three areas: Lunada Bay West, Lunada Bay South, and Lunada Bay East (North).  Each of these areas is represented by an Area Coordinator who shares valuable information down to the Block Captains, and from there, to the residents.

The Palos Verdes Police Department maintains a strong partnership with the Neighborhood Watch program, working together to increase the quality of life and safety within our neighborhoods.  For questions or to request a membership application by mail, please contact Marcelle Herrera, Community Relations Officer at the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department at (310) 378-4211 or email her at mherrera@pvestates.org.  Or, contact your LBHOA Board representative, or Reggie Jue at reggie_jue@alumni.hmc.edu.
